Rindy Merrifield announces a new partnership with Homes for Heroes®, a nationwide program giving discounts and rebates to local heroes when buying or selling a home.

Homes for Heroes® is a national program formed in 2002, which provides discounts and rebates to Military Personnel, Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, Teachers and Healthcare Workers.
After the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001, and bolstered by a shared admiration for the heroes employed as emergency responders and military personnel, a group of Minnesota real estate-related business owners created the program as a way to enable those who work in the community to better afford a home in the local community in which they live. Currently, Homes for Heroes® has spread across the nation, encompassing many states and growing at a rapid pace, with a “Pay it Forward”mentality.
“Savings to our local heroes can be enormous,” said Rindy, who gives back 25% of her commission earned. Local heroes, past or present, who get involved with the program also have an opportunity to save money on loan origination fees, title fees, appraisals, home inspections and more. Our network, Friends of Heroes, grows daily, offering discounts on services not just related to the real estate industry. Depending on the sale price of the home, savings can be in the thousands of dollars.
